Megan represented us in the purchase of our new home in Tuolumne. As out-of-towners looking to move to the area, we relied heavily on Megan's local knowledge and her guidance of what areas and properties would work for what we were looking for. She took the time to get to know us and listen to us as we visited properties, tailoring her suggestions and giving relevant context to each listing. Not being local, Megan was very considerate about cramming as many homes into each vist as possible, without overwhelming us. It's also a fun way to get to know the area, following her around as she drives around town. When it came time to put in an offer and then subsequently during the closing process, she was very communicative about what was happening, what we should be doing, and what she was already handling. Luckily for us, most of it fell in the last category. Not only was Megan extremely detail oriented and quick to pinpoint mistakes or inconsistencies from other parties, but she also gently guided us through the process without letting us make any mistakes. She was proactive about taking care of things we hadn't even considered, communicative and (very) ready to fight battles for us if needed. I was impressed with Megan from the very beginning. We (my brothers and sisters) spoke to her for the first time early in the afternoon in June and she was there for us by late afternoon in person the same day. We let her know that we needed to sell my late Mom and Dad's townhouse in Sonora and she immediately immersed herself into the process. She started us on the right path in getting the house ready sale in her initial walk through. Megan gave us the guidance and direction we needed to succeed in getting the house ready to be staged and shown to potential buyers. She looked after many of the little details that helped make our home sale successful. For example, we removed enough furniture to give the perspective buyer the ability to view the home as they wanted it. She helped us find a thrift and gently used furniture store that contributes some of their profits to a charity for the furniture we didn't plan to keep. One thing that I really appreciated was the constant contact and updates from Megan during the process since I live out of town from the location we were marketing. We conversed through e-mails, texts, and phone at all hours of the day. I always felt like a valued client. She was really supportive of us and did her best to deal with any bumps in the road we experienced. For example, my sister came out from Colorado and wanted to stay at the townhouse for two weeks to sort through family artifacts to remember our parents and say a final good-bye. Megan accommodated my sister's wishes with patience. Through her advice we held back the listing of the property so that my sister would feel comfortable at the house and not have to be concerned about walk throughs during that sensitive time. I believe she gave me excellent advice through the offers and negotiations process in determining which buyer's offer to accept. Without her help and skills in that area we might have settled for less than the house was worth on today's market. We were definitely tested with some of the offers we got and counters we had to make. Overall, I think she did a very excellent and professional job in handling our transaction. We were very concerned that we would not be able to sell the house because of the Coronavirus pandemic. However, we were able to sell the house in little over a month at the end of July. I feel she was a good friend to all of us and I would highly recommend her to anyone in the area considering buying or selling a home.
